ABG shipyard is the largest ship producing private company in India. This shipyard works under the control of ABG group of companies. The headquarters of this company is located in Mumbai. This company covers an area of 35 acres. The company has been practicing many impressive ship construction and vessel maintenance.
The ABG group was established in 1985. The company performed its ship building process in Surat and Dahej in Gujarat. Later on they started focused on areas like Goa. In Goa they were able to show their excellence in maintenance and became the leading ship maintenance facility in India. The company was given the contract for building warships for Indian navy. In 2004 they agreed to construct vessels for Indian Coast Guard which causes lower rate of pollution. They fashioned 149 specialized and modern vessels.

The company has got a wide range of equipments like Ship lift facility having a capacity of 4500 tons, Side transfer facilities, CNC plasma cutting machines, Bending rolls, Hydraulic press. They have also manufactured Self loading and Self discharging bulk carriers, Container ships, Floating cranes, Anchor handling tugs and Off shore supply vessels.
