In a business an account manager plays pivotal role by maintaining the management of sales and key accounts which has highest volume of business and thereby creating customer relationship. He should be able to find out new business opportunities, new clients and by providing them support to get more business for company. He should be capable of understanding and meet the exact requirement of the customers. By fulfilling the client’s requirement we can create a definite permanent client account. An account manager have different types of client account, either global or at national level, which may include single account or portfolio of clients. A key account manager has much more assigned specified work area including project management, maintenance of client relationship, record keeping of sales and purchase. He has to target more on planning and managing the full business relationship with customers. The whole transactions include the responsibility of managing the major key accounts in the global level.
